Ambootia cultivates eleven tea gardens in the Darjeeling district, India, which produce and process biodynamic/organic tea leaves for black and green tea in different quality types. 13% of the tea in Darjeeling come from these gardens. The organization is the single largest Darjeeling tea producing company and happens to be the largest biodynamic tea farm in the world. In total 5810 employees work in the tea gardens and at the headquarter in Kolkata from where tea gets marketed and shipped.
